- The two hundred dollars has been paid already; it will remain a secret with Peter. Believes the election will be favorable unless the votes from Otsego are lost. Uncle Fady (Frederick Jay) has gotten married and has spent one day at Rye with his bride. Is unable to sell John Jay's stock. Mr. Neilson will pay 50 pounds soon when his bond comes due. Mr. Creighton has arrived but has not needed money yet. Has dealt with John Jay's bills at the bank. The canvas starts May 29th; will tell Jay how it progresses.
