- Asks that State make some provision to relieve the condition of the Stockbridge Indians; relays the Indian's request that some law prevent sale of alcoholic drinks to the Indians. Requests funds for program of the Society for the Manumission of Slaves, which will be used to continue the African School in New York City. Does not mention the matter of prisons, as two state inspectors were recently in New York and have probably reported to Jay.
