- Summary
- Recounts the controversy which arose in the parish of Bloomingdale over the baptism of his child. William's wife wished the child to be baptized before her husband's departure for Bedford. On applying to the pastor of the parish, the request was refused on the grounds that the rubrics of the prayer book did not authorize baptism out of church under such circumstances. On application to Bishop Moore, however, the request was granted, and the ceremony was performed by a pastor outside the parish. Family news.
