- Family news. Opinions are divided on the subject of peace. In consequence of the seizure by the Collector of specie drawn from New York banks by a Boston bank, the credit of the former have become suspect. Drafts for specie have since been made to such an amount as to compel the Manhattan Bank to discontinue its discounts for the present, and other banks to diminish theirs.
