Summary:
Drayton has been called a Jacobin in Porcupine's gazette; this is a result of his election to the state legislature at which time several Federalists lost their seats. Since he has been elected Lieutenant Governor he thought John Jay should be informed of the subject. As further proof, the only time he has been sued is by his cousin, Stephen Drayton, when the latter was arrested by a committee of the legislature for Jacobinical pursuits.
