Summary
At a council meeting held 10 July 1730, Governor John Montgomery laid before the council "an Order of the Queens most excellent Majesty, Guardian to the Kingdom of Great Britain, & his Majesty's Lieutenant" dated May 22 1729, confirming an act of the assembly of the province of New Jersey of March 1718 for ascertaining the boundary between the eastern and western divisions of the province, and preventing future disputes between them. Certified a true copy from the Book of Privy Council Minutes for the Province of New Jersey by Charles Pettit. Entered before the Commission to Settle the Boundary between New York and New Jersey [ca. July - October 1769].
