- Summary
- He hopes that his account of expenditures as minister at Versailles will be settled by the Present Congress, and not be left for the new government. Although his expenses for his outfit (Clothes, carriage and household furniture) is over the amount of a year's salary, he believes that this was contemplated by Congress' resolution in this regard, and that now objection will be raised to this amount, as he has lived frugally.
