- Summary
- Appointed major in Congressional resolution consolidating a number of Pennsylvania regiments, he knows of the dissensions caused by his allegedly superseding several Pennsylvania captains. However, he was injured and slandered by the appearance of a newspaper statement that his commission was vacated. Asks that Congress take this into consideration, and report that the action was taken because of no personal fault, but rather because of a dispute over succession. This will permit him to resign with honor.
