- Tenders resignation as Deputy Commissary General of Musters because of ill health. Will continue in office until a successor can take over. Makes request for higher subsistence money for muster officers whose duties put them at the mercy of "rapacity and extortion of inn-keepers and others," while travelling and whose duties even while stationary deprive them of several usual sources of supplies. Asks that successor be names to Lieutenant Colonel North who has retired.
