- Summary
- Happy to learn that Hamilton's conduct has been exonerated; looks forward to receiving full text of report. Nothing new has occurred in regard to treaty, but matters look promising. The Kentucky and North Carolina resolutions have made disagreeable impressions in England. In Europe the French continue successful, the English decided, and the Dutch have become resolved to their fate. News of Robespierre's death has arrived, what its effect will be is unknown.
