- Summary
- The deponent said that he first heard of Clinton's Line after he settled near Peter Deckers, and that the inhabitants westward of the drowned lands and south of the said line now pay taxes and do duty to New Jersey. When the deponent first settled near Deckers, he had no lease from anyone. The nineteen persons whose names are prefixed with P on Exhibit 51, to the best of the deponent's knowledge, have no other title to their lands than possession. Signed, Samuel Seely. In Jay's hand.
