- Outlines arrangements which must be made for the reception of the sick at Bedloes Island. A covered vessel should be provided to carry the sick to the island. Staff members must be obtained. Details concerning the construction of docks on the southwest side of the City. One of the docks contains two horse carcasses. Suggests that the smell from these docks, constructed entirely of rubbish, is causing considerable illness, and makes the inhabitants susceptible to the fever. Effects of fever epidemic more strongly felt in the crowded homes of the poor.
