Summary:
Enclosing copy of letter dated 29 Sept 1828 from William Jay to Jonathan Lyon William tells Peter of the court work in his county, a surprising number of criminal cases and seemingly related to Bedford's proximity to New York City. Sends copy of letter from himself to Jonathan Lyon, telling Mr. Lyon (upon Lyon's inquiry) that John Jay believes Mr. Stagg had received all monies due him from John Jay, and suggesting that Peter Augustus be contacted if there are further questions.
