- Summary
- Jarrat does not wish to swear to the accuracy of the latitude determination for New York on the west side of the Hudson because his instrument is not accurate enough to measure it properly. The error in his calculation may be as great as two or three minutes. Greater accuracy requires the use of a larger instrument. From the Office of the Clerk of the Council at New York. Certified by Goldsbrow Banyar. Entered before the Commission to settle the boundary between New York and New Jersey 3 August 1769.
