- Received Grand's of May 2, the only one to come to hand since "[the] your Revolution." "We consider your amiable French as an agreable addition to our Society." Remembers Passy and the friendly attentions of Grand's family with pleasure. Jay enjoying peace and prosperity after various vicissitudes of the late war; Providence has been pleased to favor Jay with five children and other blessings. Wishes same good providence to Grand.
