The furnaces at Salisbury had several cannon and considerable shot but no
trux made. Could release none of it without instructions from Governor Trumbull.
Trumbull and his Council agreed to lend New York the firearms at Salisbury and agreed to
build additional arms for them. The men at Salisbury agreed but wanted to confine their
manufactures to cannon and let Colonel Livingston make trux. The cannon taken to
Hoffman's ferry and Livingston has agreed to build the trux.
