Summary
Jay sent to iron works at Salisbury to procure 20 cannon: 8 six pounders and 8 four pounders. Also shot and trucks for the cannon. All to be sent to Colonel Hoffman's landing. To take a carpenter to make carriages for the cannon. Jay also given power to impress carriages, teams, sloops and horses and to call out detachments of the militia.
