- Summary
- If the above named houses will join together in an American loan to be opened by John Adams, no stipulations for any certain sum will be demanded. If this proposition is not agreeable, Adams will enter into a joint loan with any interested houses for the sum of five millions by August 1782. Failing this Adams will enter an agreement with any one house which will furnish the sum. Adams proposes that the above named gentlemen meet to discuss the matter.
