Summary
Congratulates John Jay on the preliminary articles of peace. Suggests that American boundary should be extended southward through middle of Mississippi or navigation rights will be useless. After Livingston left Paris, he and Curson went to Geneva, Lyons, Marseilles. Has not decided whether to go to Italy or return to Paris in spring. Encloses letter for his father.
