- Summary
- Autograph Letter signed. William brought back good news of Peter's family and of health of Peter Jay Munro's son. Appears to be doubtful that Federalists will "make a very united and animated Effort for Mr. Morris." If they don't, their numbers and influence will fall. Party must be careful in its dealings with King. Warns against suggesting that "The American" is subsidized by King. Stagg has done nothing to complete his work. Suggests solution -- which must be approved by Munro. Maria may visit her home in New York.
