- Summary
- Mr. King did well in consenting to his nomination, and strenuous exertions should be made to secure his election. Approves of the measures taken regarding the land in Scriba's patent. The "Court House Business" still arouses concern there; a man must sink even in his own esteem who obeys or disobeys his sense of right to follow the dictates of his party or purse. Mentions a "dream" in the Utica paper which will probably "be long remembered and often told."
