- Summary
- Received Schuyler's of 6th. Efforts made to postpone the organization of government under the new constitution. Agrees with Schuyler's ideas for a new campaign and the obstruction of the Hudson River. Glad that Schuyler's patriotism is unabated despite the ingratitude of the people. A record should be left to inform posterity of the facts of the case. The virtuous and sensible retain their regard for Schuyler. The residue will ever be directed by accident and circumstance.
