Abstract
In the first session, Kellie Bryant describes her professional trajectory, her initial impressions of COVID-19, responses at the School of Nursing, concerns around personal protective equipment, medical procedures for COVID-19 patients, and the social challenges of quarantine. Bryant describes her activities with the Greater New York City Black Nurses Association throughout the pandemic, and discus sions about issues affecting communities of color and causing disproportionate rates of COVID-19. In the second session, Bryant talks about being back on campus with her students and protesting in the summer after the death of George Floyd, including the activities of the Black Nurses Association. She also discusses COVID's impact on her family and the risk analysis of social activities at that point in the pandemic

At the time of the interview, Kellie Bryant was the Executive Director of Simulation and Assistant Professor at Columbia University's School of Nursing. Bryant grew up in Albany, New York and received degrees from Stony Brook University.
