Abstract
The following microfilm is a copy of 5 x 8 Kardex cards hitherto used in the Cumulative Index to the Minutes of the Executive Committee and of the Board of Trustees of the Carnegie Corporation of New York, from the first meeting of the Trustees (November 10, 1911) through the 22nd meeting of the Executive Committee (September 17, 1946). The Cumulative Index was initiated during the early days of th e Corporation when the offices of the President, the Secretary, and the Treasurer were separately organized, each with its own system of records. It was maintained by Durand R. Miller, first as secretary to the Secretary of the Corporation, James Bertram, and later as Record Clerk of the Corporation. The entries in the Cumulative Index are duplications of those recorded in the index of each bound volume of Minutes.
