Abstract
Oral history interview with Tashi Wangdu (Tib. Bkra-shis-dbang-'dus ; Ch. Zhaxiwangdi), a scholar at the Central University for Nationalities (Zhong yang min zu da xue) in Beijing; discusses his life experience, education, road construction, Democratic Reforms (he ping min zhu gai ge) and other activities of the People's Liberation Army in Ganzi (Dkar mdzes), Sichuan Province, etc. His account foc uses on the 1950s and discusses it in detail, with some references to traditional tusi, local lamas, etc.

Note (Biographical)
Tashi Wangdu (Tib. Bkra-shis-dbang-'dus; Ch. Zhaxiwangdi) was born circa 1933 in Kangding (Dartemdo), Ganzi (Tib. Dkar mdzes), Sichuan. He graduated in 1953 from school in Ganzi, and then worked as a Tibetan cadre. He retired as a scholar at the Centr al University for Nationalities (Zhong yang min zu da xue).
