- Segment 1: Camcorder recording of ngakpa (sngags pa /སྔགས་པ་ /lay tantric practitioner) rituals for the new year in Jamo Village ཇ་མོ།, Rebgong རེབ་གོང་།, Amdo (Tongren County, Qinghai Province), in March 1997. Footage of ngakpa chanting and performing rituals, offerings of torma, and cham dance performance. -- Segment 2: Camcorder recording of village celebration in Jamo Village in Rebgong, Amdo ( Tongren County, Qinghai Province) from July 1997. Includes footage of village-wide meal preparation and eating; competitions and games; singing and recitation. -- Segment 3: Camcorder recording of ribbon-cutting ceremony for the construction of a new bridge in Jamo Village, Rebgong (Tongren) County. Followed by footage of a reception, held inside and in the courtyard of the local ngak-khang (ngakpa temple), with officials from the hydro-electric company that sponsored the bridge and inhabitants of Jamo making statements, presenting gifts (including a large painting) and making toasts.
