- Verso annotation: (preaching) This is James Enoch (Ind) of Carnation Wash. Shaker preacher – really saved and on fire for God. This crude platform was built for outdoor services – these were real times of blessing – as many showed such a hunger for th e Word of God – they really gathered close to the platform as if to better receive the blessings – these folk reminded us of hungry baby birds as they actually listened with their mouths open – just drinking in the messages
