- Columbia University has a small endowment, but 250th Anniversary chairman Henry L. Hale is compensating with big plans. For CU 251, he wants to move the campus out of New York City, but donor and alumnus Sidney Havemeyer will have none of it. That is, until his freshman son Eli discovers dancing and Barnard girls.
