The program in Tanzania was coordinated by the IFP International Partner, Economic and Social Research Foundation. Tanzanian nationals and East African nationals residing in Tanzania who have not yet studied outside the Africa Region were eligible for the scholarship. In 2001-2010, the IFP program sponsored 127 Fellows from Tanzania. The Alumni, who returned to Tanzania, founded Tanzania IFP Alumni Association (TIFPA).

930 MB of digital materials and 10.3 linear feet of paper records arrived in July 2013. The materials include administrative program files, fellow files, audiovisual materials, and archived websites. 121 Fellows consented to provide researchers with access to their files. The materials are in English.
